In the heart of Kenya, a quiet revolution is taking root. In classrooms and schoolyards, children are not only learning about the climate crisis; they’re fighting it.
Armed with curiosity instead of apathy, these young climate champions are planting more than just trees. They’re planting hope, resilience, and a future for all of us.
DEO is cultivating a climate conscious generation by turning classrooms into launchpads for climate action.
Climate change is not just a topic for textbooks. It’s a lived reality here. But most of our pupils only receive theory-heavy lessons with no practical skills to take action.
At DEO, we believe education is the most powerful climate solution. That’s why we created a model that blends climate education with hands-on climate action.
We go beyond textbooks. Our programs immerse children in hands-on environmental experiences, from tree planting to recycling to water conservation.
We equip them with the knowledge, emotional resilience, and leadership skills needed to protect their planet and their communities.
We work directly with schools and communities, helping pupils understand the science of climate change, and more importantly, how to act.
We’ve already reached over 10,000 pupils across 50 schools, planted more than 10,000 trees, and built a growing network of young climate leaders who are transforming their communities.
What makes us different is our holistic approach, where learners grow in knowledge, resilience, and leadership, helping them turn climate anxiety into action.
We’ve seen children once fearful of climate change grow into confident voices for sustainability. We’ve seen schoolyards transformed into thriving mini-forests. And we’ve seen how one tree planted by one child can spark a lifelong commitment to climate action.
But we cannot do it alone!
Your support can help us reach the next school, the next child, the next tree.
